One of the most important things a writer must not overlook is his WRITING. Of course in the writing business, perfection is a relative term. So, do your best to ensure clarity. This is quintessential. Whether you are a poet, a novelist, or a non-fiction writer, your product is your face. Everyone wants to look great when going out to a party or a social gathering. Think of it. When you publish your work, the audience is far larger than you could ever imagine. So, be prepared. Every publication has the potential to become a literary success. Consequently, every sloppy work is an opportunity missed. But, this is my opinion.
